From Alex Smit's River Deck Cafe, which sits lovingly above the gurgling Murray as the kitchen churns out Michelin star-worthy meals; to Tim Tehan's Canvas Eatery - a light and modern space embedded within MAMA that delivers classic bistro dining.
Make your first stop the River Deck Cafe, open daily for breakfast and lunch, and Thursday to Saturday for dinner. You'll find it right on the Murray, among the leafy plane trees of idyllic Noreuil Park.
Let’s start with one of my Albury favs, Riverdeck Cafe, sitting proudly on the banks of the Murray, The Riverdeck Café is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week and serves dinners on Friday and Saturday nights and delivers a unique blend of modern Australian with a twist of Europe thanks to head chef Ludo Baulacky who has strutted his stuff in London and Mauritius.
Alex Smit’s Murray bank River Deck Café has helped put Albury NSW back on the culinary map. The redeveloped café-restaurant and hole in the wall kiosk-styled servery attracted the hordes, young and old, throughout the 2015-16 summer season.
It’s here you’ll find a favourite dining spot - the River Deck Cafe - one of the most beautifully situated places to eat in the area. It overlooks a horseshoe bend in the river’s course and is surrounded by mature Red Gums, Dutch Elm and London Plane trees. A children's playground right on its doorstep adds further to its appeal.
Located on the iconic Murray River, the Riverdeck Café is part of Noreuil Park – one of the town’s most popular destinations. Previously, the café only offered outdoor seating, which meant it was limited to opening only during the summer months.
